There is a saying, “fail to plan, and plan to fail”; you need to devote more time and effort working on your business, and not just in it, to succeed both as an entrepreneur and as a person.

Remember that there are many variables that can be a factor to the success of a business. Bear also in mind that business planning is very important for success in today’s environment. You may think that the years of experience you acquire will guide you through life and succeed, yes it may happen but rarely; the majority fails.

Well, the biggest obstacle in becoming rich is when one is living like you are rich before you become one. Why is that? The extravagant spending (the fancy apartment, frequent restaurant and fine dining meals, purchase of latest electronic items, fancy clothes and cars) replaced the savings that will enable you to be rich someday.

People often complain; you might hear them whine everyday that they cannot purchase their own home because of the huge down payment required. Living in a lavish situation yet full of financial worries is not living rich at all.

They rather keep a low profile and not show off their wealth as it will invite many problems. Always remember it is not how much you make, but how much you keep. Most of the rich persons don’t always flaunt off their wealth and they live below their means.

A rich person is easily distinguishable in the way he does things. He is relaxed, composed, and at ease. He does not have to be always on the run. In other words, you will recognize a rich man if he is always on the relax mode.

Self-made millionaires have very little time to watch movies or even exercise. They utilize 12 hour working days as they work 24/7. They do bulk shopping, and they do the things non-rich people do not do. They always aim for the goal not only to make themselves rich, but also they try to make the next generations rich as well.

Being rich can’t be distinguished on a full pocket alone, but the real wealth are manifested through affluent disposition in life.

What do you do when you know you’re wrong?

Everyone wants to be correct in this world. Some people will do anything to be right, even if they’re wrong. Why it is that being right is such a big thing with some people?

Of course, we are all humans so it is just normal that we make mistakes even in business.

There are certain advantages in admitting you’re wrong.

1. Strength of character. Only secured and confident people are strong enough to admit their mistakes. People who are insecure insist on being right always. The moment they admit their mistakes and correct it, they learn from it and their character is built.

2. Sterling reputation. A good name is worth more than any amount of money. A damaged reputation can take years to build back if it is destroyed. Generally, people respect honest people who are brave enough to admit their mistakes. It is a show of strength as the person shows willingness to take responsibility for his actions.

3. Increased respect. People will trust you more because they know you are willing to tell the truth whether it is in your favor or not. This is in contrast with the misconception that if you tell people you made a mistake they won’t trust you anymore.

Well now that you admit that you are wrong, here are a few suggestions on what you should you do next.

1. Acknowledge your mistake and get over it. The ability to admit it shows you have character and strength. Your ability to move on and forget the past is very important. There is no such thing as a picture perfect person. There are only stupid people who only pretend to be perfect. So better get real and face the fact that we all make mistakes. It is all a part of growing up as an individual.

Life is short. You just don’t have the time to make all the mistakes you can learn from. Clever people learn from their own wrongdoings. Brighter people learn from the errors of others.
