A Hacking Case of Twitter or Facebook Account

This is the reality---your Facebook account or even your Twitter account will be hacked not now but in the near future. I myself became a victim when my Twitter account was hacked less than a month ago. It is a good thing that Twitter has the security policy of notifying the account owner that there is a possibility that your Twitter was hacked.

Now, what will you do if your Twitter account is hacked?

1. Go to the information page of Twitter to solve the problem or issue. And then,

2. Log out of Twitter

3. And then, clear the cache of your browser including the history of your browsing and private info.

4. And then, your browser may be closed down.

If you are using Firefox, go to Tools, then Clear Recent History, then click on the down arrow that is found next to Details; make sure to check all the boxes, and choose “Everything” so that the time range will be cleared.

If you are using Internet Explorer, go to Tools, then Internet Options, and then click on the button “Delete” under the Browsing History. Make sure the boxes are all checked except the InPrivate Filtering data and click on the button “Delete”.

5. Open a new browser, then log in to Twitter and your password should be changed. You may also make use of the password reset feature of Twitter to be able to set a new password before trying to log in again.

6. Go to your settings page and check the Connections. Cancel any access for a third-party application that you are not familiar with.

7.
