An Analysis of Linking With Sites like Facebook or Twitter

Google said before if your site is linked with the significant and relevant sites, it is a fabulous method of increasing your traffic and even your ranking will eventually increase in the search engines. The question is what about new social bookmark platforms like Facebook and Twitter.

Well here is a video with Matt Cutts, a well-known Googler, revealing his opinions about this topic. At present, Google takes into consideration the links regardless of the source of the links. Google studies the reputation of the website where the links were received and not anymore the policy of the number of sites that are linked to your site.

But in the case of linking with Facebook, Google will have a hard time to check the Facebook links as most of the Facebook profiles are private. Eventually Google will not get all the links as they will not be able to access freely the Facebook page. It is also the same case with linking with Twitter. You may be able to learn more about this in the video.

If you like to check out more important information on how the number of your incoming links will be increased, you may take a look at this link.

After watching the video, you may try to ask yourself if Google is fair enough in using their present criteria.
