The Worth of a True Entrepreneur

Ask everyone you know on what is really the meaning of the word 'entrepreneur'. You will get about a dozen or more different answers. Others will say an entrepreneur is a person who will start a business. This concept does not necessarily follow as most entrepreneurs are initiators of their business. Not all are like that. Many people who start their own businesses are not necessarily entrepreneurs, but mere business owners.

A most common definition of an entrepreneur is one who assumes the responsibility of establishing an enterprise. Many risks are involved in starting a business. The risks start to arrive when every new action and idea is packed with possible consequences. It is when a business is operating already and when there are suppliers and employees; vendors will encounter different problems that the real risk comes into full reality. It is riskier to grow and maintain and existing company that starting a new one.

Bear in mind that not all entrepreneurs are geniuses with a creative mind, or a leader of their own industry, or just simply natural-born leaders. Some entrepreneurs are energized by the realities of market or are keyed up with passion. A gut feeling is what they have together with a developed business plan to go ahead with being successful in every endeavour. One more thing, a successful entrepreneur needs to learn how to delegate properly, compete effectively, and communicate substantially. Sustaining a business is also important to consider, and of course, luck. Others just feel luck is with them, while some need to make their own luck.

Vision is one of the most common characteristic of an entrepreneur. It is imagining what will happen in the future and that vision is what will move you forward as an entrepreneur. Communicating this vision to others in relation to your business is another, together with reaching your business goal. Purpose and vision are interrelated but never the same. Purpose is the reason why you are trying to reach your aim, and vision is what you want to aim at. These two should be tied together with a plan.

After all have been said, are you able to assess yourself if you are an entrepreneur? The valuable thing is give all what you've got, stay lively, fight fairly with others, and be able to endure yourself amidst all the trials, then that is the time that you can call yourself an entrepreneur. Remember that you are what you make yourself and no one, absolutely no one, can take that away from you.
