The Highest Unemployment Rate in the US

There are many hungry and unemployed Americans nowadays, and the numbers are the highest in a fifteen year period. The users of food stamp hit the record of 31.6 million or a ratio of 1 to 10 Americans.

More than half a million workers in the US were displaced in their jobs in November, and it is said to be the largest loss of employment in one month since the year 1974. It had a negative effect on the market, and the Dow closed up at 260 points. The unemployment rate was up to 6.7 percent which is the highest in 15 years. As stated in the video, Dedrick Muhammad of the Institute for Policy Studies said that the 6.7 per cent mentioned does not include the underemployed and those who discontinued looking for work.
